A meeting between a man story "boorish, uneducated or culture 'Germain and a little grandmother," delightfully delicate and cultivated "Margueritte (with two t!). This meeting is possible because, before underlining their differences, it brings together two solitudes. What is knowledge when you can not share it with anyone? And what value have the words when they are not called ... a classic story but the characters are not and the author shows with humor that nothing is irremediable in life as long as we do a meeting determining who can tip its own representations. The style is light (the author writes as one speaks because it poses Germain as narrator), there are moments when we smiled and others where it is moved, touched by this relationship that ties in lines crossed novels. The simplicity of the story can perhaps make it less credible but I let myself be carried away by the style and optimism of this beautiful game. This book is good before questioning about the meaning of friendship and the importance of've met in life.
