... And nothing jerky!

After my Asus tablet has unfortunately "passed away" last fall, I bought after half a year of intensive research and reinforced monitoring of the tablet market now 2 days ago the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 in the LTE version. Actually, my choice had already been made on the even lighter and even thinner Sony Xperia Tablet Z2, increased in power emerging complaints about shortcomings relating to the touchscreen operation in this Tablet shifted my buying decision but ultimately the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1.
Here, I opted for the much more expensive but LTE version solely because of this built-in processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. numerous contributions on the Internet I gathered namely before performance problems of the Samsung Exynos own processor as in the Only-WIFI version is installed in Samsung Tablets of the youngest generation. Own checks of those facts in various electronics markets locally confirmed unfortunately these problems - especially when scrolling on web pages there were significant, me personally very disturbing jerkiness (jerkiness of Mini can here no longer be any question). In the LTE version of me now present these disturbances do not occur, everything is really absolutely liquid and beyond to my mind also very fast!
Important to me was a very bright display, so I can use the Tablet and on a sunny day on the terrace - even in this case I was not disappointed: as long as the sun does not shine directly on the screen, the screen content can still good at full brightness stage be read - of course, this reduces the battery life accordingly. Speaking of battery life: this is the top for my taste, I come with a charge even with intensive use loose throughout the day! The charging time, however, seems to me a bit long with about 5 hours (from 5% to 100% state of charge). The connectors for external devices comply with microUSB 2.0 and Micro-SD card slot, although within reasonable limits, are for my needs but perfectly adequate. The integrated infrared transmitter also allows the remote control of TV, Bluray player, 5.1 - conditioning, etc. via Tablet - an appropriate app that detects all my connected devices, but I have so far not been able to find, so this feature for I unfortunately not available!
Why not the Galaxy Note 10.1 that at approximately the same equipment and, now, almost identical price additionally includes the S-Pen feature? Although even here the LTE version is equipped with the faster Snapdragon SoC, it should lt relevant internet forums come despite a larger memory (3 GB instead of 2 GB) every now and then to micro-stuttering -. Is it perhaps to the extra for S-Pen function installed software or on the opposite the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 "older" version of Android? I do not know, but as I do not really have the S-Pen function need stand, such obviously "risky" decision for me not!
I am very pleased with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE Pro, do not regret my purchase and would recommend to anyone who is willing to pay the undisputed right high price for this place only near the buying this tablet.
I have this review deliberately not like many written immediately after first trying out but by now become two weeks of intensive use, so as to prevent, influenced in the euphoria of the just purchased is new "high-end product" in my ability to judge critical to become. I also believe that various inadequacies, weaknesses or even flaws in the software but also taken in hardware only after a certain period of use to perceive correctly or be visible. With this approach, I expect a much more informed, realistic and consequently more meaningful product assessment. If in the aftermath yield even more noteworthy aspects related to the use of this tablet, I will complete my post of course!

Even after more than 1.5 months of intensive use, I'm still very happy with the Tablet. In the meantime, I also have the Samsung Apps "Watch On" to use the tablets installed as infrared remote control: my Philips TV, WISI cable receiver, LG Blu-ray player and Yamaha AV receiver are all recognized and can now be means Tablet use. This "flips" the remote control but sometimes by example, the station will be 22 or 222 driven instead of on the program list the selected channel 2; On the other hand, it can also happen that you have to repeat entries repeatedly before they are registered and processed. The app is a nice gimmick, but does not always work properly; they too can the original - replace remote controls not completely, as not all functions of the respective remote controls are supported.
What I also noticed in the meantime and so I mean source review from 25.04. Now something must be correct, which is "pause for thought" that the tablet when you start some apps (not all) occasionally allows himself - so it can already take several seconds to Felt for example the folder "My Documents" opens. What bothers me's not really, because the Tablet otherwise runs very smoothly.
Absolutely cool I think the multi-window function, so that applications can run comfortably 2 simultaneously on the screen; and the size of the screen is this my opinion to be able quite adequate to the respective content read comfortably!
Unfortunately, however, has confirmed the mE very long charging time of the Tablets: even when completely switched off tablet (ie no power consumption for wireless or on-screen display.) Drop at least 5 hours charging time from "nearly empty" to a fully charged battery. It is noteworthy that alone for the last 5-10% (from about 90% state of charge) passes approximately another 1 hour until the battery is fully charged.
