I always find it schwiergig evaluate Savatage albums with Jon Oliva as a singer, because they always need a bit longer to einzufressen into the ear canal as albums with Zak. But that's a matter of taste and they are both great singers. Back to the album. Zuersteinmal falls on a the great cover and even the contents may well be heard. With "Of Rage and War" album begins strongly, AC / DC song and a very great anti-war text. Then comes the Oberhammer the CD, the title track. Slow piano at the beginning and then hot riffs make this bombastic song to a direct hit. After the interesting instrumental "Temptation Revelation" follows the second Oberhammer "When the Crowds Are Gone", one of the hottest ballads of Savatage with a spine-tingling midsection. With "Silk and Steel" follows the second instrumental track only with Akkustikgitarren. The next track "She's in Love" is a fairly weak, but "Hounds" makes up for it all along the line, again very bombastic. With "The Unholy" is followed by a song up on the chorus really like and especially the final part is great. "Mentally Yours" begins with piano and after a short period with heavy riffs and a hammer chorus. The following ballad "Summer's Rain" is also a hit, only the final track is weak. All in all a great album with thoughtful lyrics and awesome riffs
