Roslund & Hellström's novels are challenging. Because their thrillers are always based on fact. Because the frame always part of reality and speaks of misery and violence of our Western societies. Demanding, but touching. Shaking but beneficial. Violent but full of humanity. Once again, this novel brand and shakes the reader. It's a thriller, it has the codes, characters (including recurring characters were following developments closely, even if it is not necessary to have read the previous simprégner for text) and true history. It is also a message to the novel, like its predecessors, which denounces unacceptable situations in a "modern" world (here the children left behind). Again, a brilliant achievement and a unique tone in the middle of polar, subtle, sobering while reading in one sitting.
