Admittedly, this is not my first Android device. After a crushing defeat with a Samsung Galaxy SII (which I totally hated), I retried to familiarize myself with Android via a Samsung Galaxy Tablet 2 7.0 (bought reconditioned at Amazon and all items perfect for its price) and well that greatly less intuitive than Apple's iOS, say that I managed to get used to it enough to also consider an Android phone to replace my iPhone 4, who suffered from a very bad reception 3G / wifi. After an unsuccessful attempt with the Sony Xperia S (which, in the absence of Micro SD slot, made the transfer of content from a Macbook Pro even MORE binding than an iPhone via iTunes !!), so I opted for the Xperia SP, which includes the S certain qualities, but he added a SD slot making it easy transfer of multimedia content such as copy and paste (or drag and drop, in this case since my Macbook). After a brief moment of solitude of the slowness that puts the phone to mount the Micro SD and make its content available, everything works perfectly, music tracks, photos, videos, be it home or downloaded, avi, mkv, etc. . The two negative points the first premium phone are: the life of the battery is very short intensive use (but latest smartphone user will cry used to it), and look and feel a bit "cheap" the back cover, which must be fully unclipped to access the Micro SD slot, and I doubt that it will support to be installed / uninstalled in time without suffering. Apart from these two points, the phone is a marvel! Bigger and end an Iphone, with a beautiful screen surface, a front facade in Gorilla Glass (so get up early to scratch or break the screen). The phone is VERY fast and responsive, both to navigate between screens and applications, or to download them. The overlay Sony is sober and clean, and you get access to all content on the usual little screens if you want to stay minimalist, or otherwise multiply pages of widgets and various animated shortcuts. The Google Play Store (equivalent of the Apple Store for iPhone) is well supplied and if you have an iPhone like me you will find probably worry the vast majority of your favorite applications. The sound quality of the Walkman application is simply excellent, very good quality camera for a portable, customizable translucent bar at the bottom of the handset is nice. Overall I therefore abandoned the iPhone, which I had almost every generation since its launch (except 5) without regret, and I do not think I feel the desire or need to change before a smartphone long time. Amazon impeccable service as always.
Update after a week of use: Always absolutely delighted! I discover subtleties regularly in use, and continues to customize the phone to a more fluid and intuitive. Compared to S I also tried the keyboard is notoriously wider and sails very easily. Swipe the function works perfectly, and I, who had never tried it, I do not use it! I'm not well familiar with the notifications of the light bar, but is also customizable. The only little thing is that it is a phone much more "discrete" an iPhone that let you visually loudly and know that you got a call, message, etc. With the SP if you do not get out of sleep mode, only the light bar, discreet enough, notifies of an event. At first I happened to not realize that I had missed calls. Otherwise phone very smart and friendly, you can configure night hours during which he does not notify (unlike the iPhone that wakes you at night by vibrating for example). Android remains less intuitive than iOS, but the use to get used to the subtleties of the Xperia SP, and I'm really 100% satisfied. I do not see myself change phone very long time !!
