It is part of some Apple users always "adulation" about the quality of products with the half-eaten apple on which I can not share, though I must confess that this media player but is actually quite satisfactory then by his standards. I'm not one hundred percent happy with it, that's why only three stars because I was not quite so make good experiences with the Apple iPod nano MP3 players 16GB (6th Generation, Multi-Touch display) graphite. Nevertheless, there is always a second chance.
Pro:
The iPod Nano is held fairly well, plain and simple of its handling. Above an input and off key, the rather well-crafted volume keys, where is located in the middle of a switch for the one when pressed once pause / start, when pressed twice, a title on and "switches" back a title in three times Press can. In the middle of the menu button in the back you get from the respective "App" to the Home screen. The touch control is very good for Apple ratios.
The inner values are good. The elements in the music playback are very clear and designed "thick fingers" -friendly. Presentation of the individual categories "Artist," "Album" and so on is very pleasant and the "Genius" lists are very user-friendly. Jump control to individual letters are not bad either.
From a sound forth the quality is outstanding when comparing the previous model. It also fits very well with my Bose in-ear headphones and makes the listening pleasure incomparable, even if I do every now and then listening to a few songs that I want to listen to another equalizer setting.
That's about it, what the 7th generation is easy to look better than the 6th generation.
Cons:
Apple once again proves stubborn, how much she thinks of so-called compatibility and multifunctionality. The new connector type "Lightning Dock" is seen for myself though better constructed than the old plug, but a disaster, because you always have to have the cable with this (Mini-USB cable you need only once with a micro-USB attachment) and for those who make stereos, docks and other products that are tailored to Apple products with the old port thus worthless. Thank God I did pretty well considering me with a hi-fi system, otherwise it would have a financial flop means.
Technically seen battery the battery life of 30 hours is a little bit exaggerated. After a maximum of 10 to 15 hours of MP3 players would be recharged.
The software seems to have quite small teething problems, which you can tell if you even want to make quick title change on iPod nano. This means that for a few seconds (5 to 10), the device has a light trailer. So far I have been three times to make a reset. (Simultaneously press the on / off and home buttons)
The iTunes software proves to a certain extent as well. The titles are in fact not so arranged as they have been stored on the computer. Time the software will nag that the file is not in the correct format, sometimes you can z. B. how at the Great Exhibition / Ave Verum / Exsultate .. the title sequence forget when z. B. the Sanctus takes place before the Credo. Also music is buys one such. As Amazon, partout not added! Videos which you want to add to your iPod (z. B. Music Videos) need a special number of pixels (240 × 432) that one riff only with special software such as "Format Factory", without having any loss of quality. Apparently one might therefore apply their own media content, which one can understand the extent of discount iTunes.
All in all, I can live quite well with this iPod Nano after all.
### Update: June 23, 2014 ###
After almost a year I have decided to send in this MP3 player at Amazon. The reason for this is seen in the top of my review. The "teething problems" which I had described above, occurred more and more and made a music enjoyment impossible.
After my telephone conversation with the customer service of Apple, I got a reply that there must be a hardware defect. I would only return the device. For that I would have used a credit card (which I did not at the moment) and a deposit fee of 75 euros, to be paid to "freeze". That's me for a support case just way too much money, even if you subsequently receive this again.
Since I've done much better experiences with other customer support! The unit went back to the dealer and will continue to grow me no Apple products more!
