I bought the belt to secure the "not quite first steps" of our 14 month old daughter outdoors. And I am very satisfied. The belt is kept fairly simple but perfectly adequate for its purpose. I'm 1.96 and our daughter is 83cm. This is just enough so that I need only very slightly bend the side, if it is to keep my fingers in order to run. Of course, a child is not to drive a dog and a child on a leash is safe "morally questionable". But I believe that there is more freedom of the child when running at hand and for all parties is just more convenient and healthier.
