The Canadians Nickleback are back with their fourth album The Long Road. The long road of success denies the quartet since its Albumhit Silver Side Up. The label refers to the Info panel suitable as an album without surprises. So according to the motto: If one knows, likes you and has quality. Do I leave that way. The Long Road is really typical Nickleback. This Post Grunge Hard Rock or woman Enver stayer rock can be seen directly, is produced fat and has a few Uptemposongs with fat riffs like the opener Flat On The Floor, Believe It Or Not and Because Of You. Besides are midtempo songs like Figured You Out or Throw Yourself Away. Potential single hits are catchy numbers like heartache Someday or shouldve Listened to those directly conquer Nickleback 90% of the female audience. Above all there is the harsh, catchy voice of gang boss Chad Kroeger, who has become a pioneer in a lot of imitators. With Another Hole In The Head, unfortunately, a total failure has lost on The Long Road. The song is very simple and because of choppy drumming and riffs almost just as much punk rock and very annoying. The whole thing is well done, some riffs remind me though to the relatives Staind, but that could happen with similar music. I prefer that bands like Nickleback are in the charts than any artificial boy / girl bands or garbage like Scooter! Conclusion: Nice mainstream record I can give me now and then, but unfortunately a bit short fall at today's prices. Since the limited first edition with three bonus tracks, including the cover version of Saturday Nights Allright (For Fighting) is a better alternative to the normal version.
