I had the phone for about 6 months, there was a reason that made the device unusable for me:
- The quality of the GPS receiver is absolutely insufficient. I do not know if there is a defect (I made use of the warranty) or whether the receiver is actually so bad (in some reviews is the question of). Each time you start an application that uses GPS, I had to wait 10-30 minutes, until I had a fix. Almost always, although I recently had a GPS application open. In normal use phase I then had all few minutes deviations of up to 100 m and about 15 seconds.
There were other criticisms:
- Battery charge level dropped 40% within a few minutes to 0%.
- Only 1.6 GB ROM usable, what with the current versions of Android and its SD card restrictions nowadays hardly goes (Navigon can not even install without cards ...)
- Display very reflective
- Constant message that no second SIM card in it (customer service has never responded to my request).
The used software ran smoothly. There was nothing to complain about. I've long the poor GPS reception glossed over, but eventually returned the smartphone.
I now have a CAT S50 added myself having none of these criticisms. Only the non-removable battery leads here to a devaluation.
