Not while the Witcher 2 is a bad game, it is on the top of the basket in the category but does not compare with the first game, without being in the vein of a catastrophic Dragon Age II. Like what the consequences ...
So beautiful it is (very, very beautiful) and that is its strength but some strengths were down 1:
- Inventories are drafts, less readable.
- Contrary to what I read here and there, the use of potions is significantly lower than in the 1. In other words, where they were indispensable before (which required him to explore much more), they do are over.
- The evolution of the character is limited. Would that the length of the game and the lowest number of quests. While this may be a choice of developers, it may be more realistic (it can not be good everywhere) but I'm not going to start 5 or 6 times the game to discover the effects of each tree changes .
- The scenario is less demanding, the quests (BCP) fewer and less interesting. In fact, the game seems poorer. As much as 1 there was less of a hurry to get back to the main quest, as there is dark there.
- The characters are less worked, the Witcher universe is less present.
Anyway, I got to the final battle in less than a week, a little surprised. And even if I restart the game from a different angle, I do not know if I'll go after. So I finished the first all difficulty levels at least 2 times and finishing all quests. It was a bit like it is oriented more mainstream, easier, less deep. So if the Witcher 2 is and remains one of the best releases of the year, it leaves as an unfinished taste ...
