absolutely unfit for backlit subjects or when the sun comes from the side. The flares are not quite as bad as the Tokina AT-X 12-28 / 4.0 Pro DX lens, but still strong enough yet. Especially annoying if one would like to photograph sunsets. But even in normal daylight the flares are not preventable. As goes one of the fun at fotogrfieren. Otherwise it's sharp crack, with the flares but for me unusable. Too bad that this problem is not considered in the relevant tests. Since the Nikkor 10-24 is of a completely different impact. Backlight basically no problem, and the sun can also be seen as such. Is more expensive, but worlds better than the Tokina!
