The device works as far as properly, it flashes as indicated consistently every 2 seconds and needed even after 1 hour operation No cool down. The flash cartridge is replaceable, either against the budget at 1500 flashes capacity or according to the manual against the Quartz cartridge with 65,000 capacity, it is, however, nowhere listed and should probably be ordered through the Service.
Criticisms:
- The handset looks not very high quality, the glass pane in Körperausatz wobbles slightly and the gap dimensions of
Housing are not accurate. The "fire button" is stiff and because of its position on the top in the long run
keep exhausting.
- The power cord between handset and base station is much too thick and rigid, also not particularly long. You have to
be careful that you do not transported the base because of the rigid cable from the table.
- Are the beeps when placing the handset too intrusive (unit flashes only in contact with skin), an LED would be better
(-> Philips)
- The body cap is the same size as the face attachment (2cm²), the only difference is the waiting time between the
Flashes (2 and 4 seconds), thereby the face attachment in principle (if the unit with single shots and not
used in automatic fire) superfluous. It is particularly annoying that the lightning behind the essay was actually much larger.
- If the range of Remington (65000 flashes) with the Philips SC 1992
(100000 flashes) compares, one must remember (4cm²) twice the area of the Philips. Seen achieved tremendous in Philips
in theory, more than 3 times the service life
Overall, therefore, actually a useful device, but if you have a direct comparison siehts not very well thought out.
With the review of the Philips I'll wait a while, sometimes it would be 4 stars. The fan is unfortunately in certain locations, a grinding noise, the flash unit is not replaceable, otherwise very pleasant handling, the lightning speed depends on the chosen intensity. At level 1, the interval is approximately 1 second, at level 5 a little less than 3 seconds.
