So Tonight That I Might See (Audio CD)

Customer Review

This wonderful album of Mazzy Star (Singing: Hope Sandoval, guitar: David Roback) is not in vain as one of the milestones in a fantastic and atmospheric pop music.
Distorted guitars, simple but captivating melodies and mysterious lyrics create a blurry-mysterious ambience, where you can let yourself go completely. Singer Hope sings, hums and sighs fits to when she would forget everything around you - impressive! In addition to the two most famous and also absolutely outstanding titles 'Fade Into You' and 'Into Dust' drop the remaining eight songs but not really from - they put exactly this darkly fascinating atmosphere skillfully continued; Similarly to commercially successful bands in the vein of Velvet Underground, the Cowboy Junkies or Jesus & Mary Chain put Hope and David in their songs to psychedelic and wrapped in a mysterious veil sound. Above all, however, hovers the brilliance and irresistible sweetness of the vocal performance of Hope Sandoval, who finished the album a grand feast for the ears. Result: The second album of Mazzy Star is one of the few all-around wonderful albums that can be heard day and night and over again.
