Also, I can only agree with the previous speakers:

During installation you have to uninstall the main game (savegames are lost !!!), I do not know what meaning is behind it, probably a fatal bug.

Hence my recommendation:
Just wait until the first patches are out there and hope to have all the teething problems have been eliminated.
Then you saves you the hassle installation and can enjoy a wonderful game!

Let us look together hopefully in future patches.
