Namely I had an E27 15W energy saving bulb (this Spiraling) I wanted to use for the lamp. She has basically works, but now a very light humming I noticed. And since I know my way around thanks to my studies on electrical engineering, it seemed to make sense to use a different bulb.
Property me therefore a 8W LED (Cool White) purchased by Auraglow, and lo and behold - quiet as a mouse, absolutely no humming or other sounds more audible. The light is also a lot lighter, despite almost half the wattage (but this is due to the LED).
From this initial problem aside, the lamp is perfect for my needs himself. The lampshade is pleasantly low, so it does not dazzle. If one daily direct, the brightness would be similar to looking into the sun. The light cone covers on my desk from about 1 square, but can be increased by inclining the screen or something stationed the foot also increases. The walk is pleasant hard, so that the joint can be adjusted with one hand easily without the lamp back and forth to slide. The switch has a good length / distance to walk and is working properly. The black appearance is very appealing and fits well good on any desk. Only alone with dust, it has to fight, but this sure is a known issue with glossy black surfaces.
As a student, I use the lamp (especially in the winter time when it gets dark early) daily and especially late into the night. It is very pleasant to work with her and does exactly what it should. Of course, a good Glühbi ... - No LED bulb vorrausgesetzt.
As a whole sees the light (as on the picture) very valuable and is made entirely of metal. I've been looking for a good desk lamp (also in furniture discounters) and could best make friends with this and can say in retrospect that I have made the right choice. Very good product. Five Stars.
Fun fact: The lamp is magnetic everywhere and you can virtually 'abuse' as a magnetic board.
