A few examples, if that sounds a bit muddled and confused in the styles and references, then I have succeeded, enough to convey the right impression ;-). The weirdest song on the album is perhaps HERE COMES THE NIGHT. The constant change of pace weary totally unexpected in a Caribbean rhythm. At first hearing quite surprising, but very exciting. And the song has some wonderful lyrics, "If there's no music in heaven, then what's it for?" Such texts do in some places good, but you can tell that the band has a little mischief and humor sit well despite all the profundity but in the neck. JOAN OF ARC is such a small beast that just once skips middle of a drawer in the other. The song has become a beautiful sparkling piece glam rock itself. This is but only for herself, if you will not get too discouraged by the almost brutal punk-rock introduction to the song. But reflector also has simpler pieces, most notably, of course, the already well-known title song and the wavige YOU ALREADY KNOW, the song with the vocals perhaps best of Chassagne and also one of the most beautiful and catchy melodies of the album. Ever New Wave and the 80s, some songs bow well ahead of this decade, it is WE EXIST, which comes as a mixture of Cure and Simple Minds therefore, or is the tribute to New Order called afterlife. In addition, there are also a lot of interesting beats and rhythms, NORMAL PERSON rocking pretty creaky and is crossed by a beautiful electronic beat, SUPERSYMETRY also starts with a funky beat and rhythm before it is very very minimalist in the second part.
All in all, has become thrilling and very exciting reflector. The courage to enter new territory is very consistent, perhaps best compared with popular acts with Achtung Baby U2 or Kid A by Radiohead. This album has some length and in some places seemed a bit contrived inflated to double CD format. There is a star less. The asterisk there but right back for the courage and consistency, as far as their own comfort zone to leave
