On the basis of design, price and performance, this UPS is attributable to the use in the small office or home. APC UPS assigns them to their product line in the Office application.
Since I first noticed also the buzz (strictly speaking it is a 100 Hz hum with harmonics, "transformer hum"), I have resorted to the Meters box.
This revealed (Categorie 2 meter, 1m):
Volume during the charging process: 35 dB (A)
Volume Quickfit: 29 dB (A)
The manufacturer's data sheet (as well as the techn. Data from Amazon) are at 1 meter distance to 40 dB (A).
Mind you are 40 dB (A) in an area where no other devices running audibly.
A look at the APC product line for the home brings me then even amazed, I'd rather there indeed quieter devices expect it brings, for example, the BE550-GR to even 45 dB (A). This is already the volume quieter language.

Since me nowadays interested in things like power consumption, I have this also remeasured (Category 2 meter with 1% accuracy).
Result:
Power consumption at idle (no load): 10 Watt
Power consumption when charging (no load): 15 Watt
At idle, I would have liked a lower power consumption. The still relatively loud noise charge I did not expect at this charging power. I interpret this as using an outdated technology (the power supply of my notebook provides 90 watts, is completely silent and has been turned off an idle consumption of Mind is the charging circuit of the battery to see regardless of the performance of the power outage - the electronics needed for the charge must therefore have no reserves.
On the German APC website is the protective function of the Ethernet interface for 10/100/1000 Ethernet, so also given Gigabit Ethernet.
Interestingly, the US sister model BR550G-JP in the description no gigabit protection. But only at the margins, it could indicate to a translation error (as was already noted in another post that Gigabit Ethernet was not working).
The only highlight thus remains the beautiful and attractive housing status display.
