The autofocus makes the most of what he wants. In a portrait shoot I have 2 images shot with 1.8er aperture in the same face position, each fixed to the same eye ... a picture showing both eyes sharp, the second only one, the other half of the face was blurred. And that's just one example of many where the autofocus problems makes. Reliability therefore looks different.
In addition to me, the light intensity of 1.8 brings unfortunately nothing when the focus until 2.8 is useful. The plastic-processing is, as expected, rather inferior. The focus ring and tube shaking like crazy. As already mentioned several times here the autofocus is also quite noisy.
Whether I have now caught a Monday model remains unclear ... In any case it is clear that I'm going to order me the lens no 2nd time. Of course you can not expect super high quality for the price, but there are certain criteria that should be met by just a quality manufacturer like Canon.
