The image quality is not better than the 14-45 or even less,
despite what some say. The goal is more contrasted against.
At full opening, the dive center is not great at all
12mm (is that my copy is in question or a generality?) But
improves to 20mm (even if it is not at the level of 20 or 25mm pancake);
in addition, it also lacks dhomogénéité with edges even less
impressive. We arrive at a good result, closing at 3.5 - 4.
The image stabilization Power OIS is good but not that much better
Mega OIS present on cheaper objectives.
The minimum focus distance is against satisfactory (macro), 8cm in
wide angle.
Similarly autofocus is very fast (but inaccurate).
A final word on the lens transmission factor that is not
eg exceptional compared to that of the Lumix 20mm. Indeed, opening
12-35mm f2.8 to this, we are left with approximately the same brightness as the
20mm f3.5, strange!
Not very far from the bright and 2.8 that I intended to get.
The value for money is in my opinion far from that of 14-45, unless
of course I fell on a bad copy ...
That said, its constant openness to 2.8 and its build quality
gives it a significant advantage.
