Fact: High-quality leather and high-quality processing cost money. A leather bag for the price offered here was a good deal (if processing and durability agree).
The leather is okay. Lighten up. After all, no split leather or the like, but also seen more beautiful.
Processing continues for the price in order. But just is not outstanding. At first glance, all the seams are made clean. I can about the durability of the processed yarn after a short inspection of course say little, however, the yarn makes at first sight not the most durable of all impression. Each buyer must be aware that as long as the leather is reasonably okay and it is maintained now and then, with such a product rather the yarn and the seams are the limiting factor. UV radiation and friction solve eventually to the yarn when it is not good. Furthermore, the two running on the sub-floor seams are thus MMN. a bad design, here the backpack in use is much scrub. A clever design feature is a real quality piece, here, I am skeptical.
The drawstring main compartment is a horror, after a few months and with a bit of leather fat is there that maybe / probably.
Very ugly are occurring at two, three places adhesive residue on the leather. Furthermore, the upper points of the shoulder straps are sewn and rather half-heartedly (hence ??) additionally glued. Not reassuring! Where else glue was used, I do not know. But it also would not, when sewn accordingly.
The zippers are okay, but as far as can be seen no known quality products. The cotton lining does not feel very nice. That's much better, but probably in other price ranges. The built-in hardware (the actual closing) MMN feels inferior and hakelig.
CONCLUSION: I do not want to talk bad the product. My remarks to the half-life are conjectures and also be seen in the context of the comparison with much more expensive products of reputable manufacturers. Whether the backpack without repair would 20 years old with frequent use? I do not know! I doubt it but from experience with other products. The quality requirements of most customers, this processing quality ensure rich, we live in a throwaway society but anyway of beautiful appearance. This suggests at least the exception enthusiastic but not very meaningful reviews of other customers.
What I can say with certainty is: a bargain is not this backpack, you get exactly what you pay for. A truly indestructible leather backpack costs unfortunately (significantly) more.
