Solid Entertainment, but not back to the roots

Caveat: the new publication is made and produced solid. However, it is still not the band Chicago early 70's. What's also perfectly OK, because who should still listen to this progressive jazz / rock from Chicago Transit Authority? But they are too long while, the field they left to others.

Yet this CD is recommended. Because it offers firstly very good songwriting currying without (as has been too often taken for 30 years with them) and secondly real, solid craftsmanship is. No synths, no samples. And just for this reason they are unmistakable Chicago. True wind, real guitar (oh yes, you will hear the guitar out), real drums.

Already the opener NOW is very well done. Other highlights are still for me CRAZY HAPPY, SOMETHING'S COMING and particularly almost at the end, the very surprising NAKED IN THE GARDEN OF ALLAH. Ever the CD with growing game length is almost always better, which often is not the case today.

So all remains fair, the CD does not praise in the sky, making them but not broken. CHICAGO stood (from the 80) for more demanding pop, sometimes more, sometimes less. This time, however, the output is quite successful.
