Strange that this work Eclat shell, written in 1915 and published in the current 1916. The novel relates only vaguely to Extraordinary Adventures of Arsene Lupin, since it only appears in a page of 180 account that the book. It is therefore a question of Paul, French ideal, courageous fighter, admirable son, who discovers in June 1914 that his father was killed by the mother of his young wife, Elizabeth. But, is this terrifying stepmother who they appear to be?
Here we find the verve of Maurice Leblanc - and beautifully classic and elegant style that make this large Normand worthy heir de Maupassant, what is not said enough. For the rest, it's anti-German fury at all levels: the barbarians, savages, inhuman neighbors we have here! A curiosity ...
