After Sunrise Avenue had lain with her debut -in my opinion- a downstream absolute blast album could be curious whether they would succeed another prank that class. The self-set bar so high was indeed hard to skip. Conclusion: On the debut album, the follow-up does not come close, but still comes up with one or the other highlight. The opener already suggests bad, since he bit stuffy comes along. The following "four-pack" then makes but again condemned a lot of ground, since a large shovel was melodic draufgepackt. The good listenable "The Whole Story" was known anyway already on the radio, but then there are three really strong melodic rock-bite from the speakers: "The Rising Sun" is simply the hammer ... sounds almost URBAN TALE (Finnish AOR band Journey with bonds)! After that you have with "Welcome to my life" and "Not Again" another tidbit in stock. What follows next is a little patchy (if one may say so). Two / three tracks fall even stylistically a bit from the Sunrise Avenue-frame, but this is anyway a matter of taste and should not be too negatively. Surely these pieces will find their lovers. For my taste, but sometimes a bit too experimental. Here could Sunrise Avenue prefer to focus on their strengths and which are undoubtedly the strong melodies (as was impressively demonstrated on the debut). All in all, but definitely still a very good album. I like to have me interrogated, perhaps, but I seem to have spotted a vocal improvement of lead singer. Final Conclusion: bar broken, but made a good impression. Well, as a grand debut is just hard to beat.
