We bought the unit in 2012 and used once a year. The lawn has 100 m². Now in 2015, the engine has a bearing damage. The ball bearing fan side, open design so the penetrating sand here completed his work. Since it is aufgeschrupft, repair is pointless. Tip: Unscrew engine cover, remove sand and spray oil on bearings.
The pinion of the engine also shows already advanced wear. The scarifier is unfortunately expensive type.
