Style:
As with all beats a matter of taste. I found the silver version of the old model a bit nicer (/ adult), but also the new colors (I own them in black) and the new design is impressive absolutely. The build quality is top again and the super comfort - with these beats can spend hours with no pressure points to enjoy music.
Sound:
Not quite as bass-heavy as the old version, but somewhat more balanced. Overall, you get a very nice, detailed and full sound.
Auto On / Off:
While you had to turn on / off the old studios always have installed the new automatic on / off function. But very handy these Men is not: The headset switches to automatic on / off when the jack (AUX) cable, a / will be connected directly to the headphones. I, however, this cable always tuned and let only the players ausstecke, bring me the function is not much - the headset must still be switched off manually on / off.
While the 1.0-studios had a slider for the 2.0 have only a small push button. This must be pressed always about half a second, so that the switching on and off of the new Beats takes a little longer than in the old.
ANC:
Even when noise canceling stuff was changed: As with the previous version can not disable this, so is always on and is manifested by noise. This noise is felt somewhat louder than in the old version - but only when no music is playing. Even at a low volume the noise disappears. I also think that the technology behind it has been somewhat refined: the train and bus you really do not get anything more from the ambient noise with.
Unlike the old beats there is now a special ANC function in the event that one hears no music and just want to suppress only the ambient noise. For this you put off the jack cable and then turn on the headset. Suppression works then surprisingly well - in a library, for example, we hear only (silent) noise of footsteps and conversations of other people you get nothing with.
Battery:
The new Beats Studio have installed instead of 2x AAA batteries a battery. This is (suitable for German outlets and in a stylish Beats design) loaded along with USB plug quickly and easily using the enclosed micro-USB cable. 5 white lights pointing to a button the current battery level on (by beautiful "animated" succession-lighting).
Shielding to the outside:
For me the switch due to the old studios of the Beats Studio 2013. In the old version, the shield was catastrophic, practically non-existent. The new studios are now much less noticeable in the area - the best you look for on Youtube for "Sound Leakage New Beats Studio VS Old Beats Studio", this video shows it pretty well. Now I can finally use the beats in the public transport to be mentioned without any time to adjust the volume.
Case:
Again is the beats doing a Hard Shell Case in order to transport them safely while on the road can. This has also been revised slightly for the 2013 version, works stable, is round and has a darker black.
Conclusion:
The new Beats Studio is a great headset with excellent sound, beautiful design and finally improved sound shielding to the outside.
