Searching For Bobby Fischer has by and large a very positive tone. Although thoughtful and even sad passages occur in the music, is the statement "everything is actually quite good." In the very first track a first topic will be presented with the piano and flute, which is taken up again and again. It's nice kept simple, sounds charming and are very well set the tone for the rest of the album on.
"Early Victories" is a really magical piece, at the Horner shows what he can do on the piano. String passages, chimes, subtle horns as support implementation of a strong sound in which the melodies and themes can Unfold. The strings are present in each piece einzelen and play a number of musical ideas. "Josh vs Dad" brings a second piano theme, which also goes to the heart.
Throughout the album, the tone is set to make a little darker, without ever being negative. The tracks sound somewhat similar in make moments, but all vary between good and very good. "Trip to Chicago" reaches the piano material again and again and again the themes from the Main Titles are cited. Horner lobs the border to kitsch not to transgress for a majority of the composition, even if it is sometimes very short.
Wonderful is also the End Credits Suite which again all threads Album involving. It's impressive how many theme nati's ideas Horner all packed in a film music to hear a rarity in this day and age and beautifully. Each piece has its place and the music make it easy to tell a story.
Of course there is no music history is written and in all harmony, it is not sufficiently differentiated sometimes what Horner brings here. I can still recommend without limitation this album. Horner creates a really nice soundtrack, orchestral music with love especially for lovers of harmonic themes and melodies. An insider's tip but more than worth a try, with such music can not go wrong.
