James Newton Howard wrote this such an incredibly beautiful score, in the series of his masterpieces of recent years such as to readily "Water for Elephants - Water for Elephants" enqueues!
Where do we start?
Only the choir deposits guarantee goosebumps - remember initially behave on the eerie and beautiful choral singing from James Horner's score for the sci-fi classic "Brainstorm" from 1983 with Christopher Walken, James Newton Howard coaxed them very soon incredible nuances and a Beauty to the Horner also thematically time was not yet capable of ....
But there is much more to tell ....
Perhaps sometimes feels kind of Howard Shore's work on the "ring" - and "Hobbitt" -Trilogien recalls, but James Newton Howard are his music for "Maleficent" something Shore's works as well as they are, never had and never will have:
A simple poignant and indescribably beautiful elaborated downright majestic force that pushes a stunned in the seat and freezes in amazement ....
One after the other times drives the entire symphony orchestra and the magnificent choir to such size that you get as a film music lovers really moist eyes and a thick lump in my throat ....
(And for connoisseurs: In Track 4, entitled "Battle Of The Moors" comes a very small sequence to light that Howard's score for "WATER WORLD" in 1995 with Kevin Costner seems to have sprung straight - but that falls only real nerds on ....)
One could go on much .... but it sounds even!
