The hinges seem not dibasic. The "brake" for the flap is quite sharp and does not bring much.
A Little Hint:
We have in such trading (but there certainly elsewhere) doorstop silencers for 3 euros bought and bolted the front right and left.
Thus, the lid pops not and if they finger on the critical corners would take away much of the buffer force.
All in all, highly recommended anyway!
