I want / you describe to you here my experience with the Vandesail 3-Port USB 2.0 Hub with Card Reader.
It is a non-powered USB 2.0 hub with 3 ports and a card reader for SD / Micro SD (TF) / MMC / M2 / MS and MS PRO DUO.
CF cards are not supported.
In addition, can be used simultaneously as with virtually all of the hubs microSD slot and the SD slot not.
One should note before you buy, if you just needed this constellation for copy operations.
It comes with the hub and a mini-USB 2.0 cable (length 1 meter) are for connection to the PC.
A manual or a quick start guide are not included.
Since the device is practically self-explanatory, I regard the non-negative.
The top of the lift has a matte, black plastic surface.
On the sides of white plastic was a dull, used.
Thus, the device is fortunately resistant to fingerprints.
On the back of the stroke is the mini-USB port that enables the Hub concerns also the necessary current.
This is on the Hub, you can tell at a blue-lit Vandesail lettering on the top and four blue LEDs on the lower side (see photo).
The three USB ports are far enough apart to full-size sticks to operate in parallel
My Windows 7 Ultimate has the Hub directly recognized and included at no additional driver installation.
In operation, the hub behaves easily.
The data transfer rates correspond to the normal values of my USB 2.0 ports on the PC.
So it's no performance difference observed.
Even copying within the hubs, eg from an SD card to a USB flash drive runs smoothly and without any problems.
Due to the low current on the USB 2.0 track, the probability is to use 2.5-inch external hard drives attached to a hub is very low. My external Seagate 500GB does not work in any case.
But this is rather the USB 2.0 specification owed, provides a maximum of 0.5A output current.
All in all, I recommend this Hub with card reader.
It combines in a meaningful way two types of devices and works fine.
Only the USB 3.0 interface I miss a bit to connect external drives to.
I hope this review could assist you in your product decision.
