I could this USB 3.0 HUB from deleyCON thoroughly test and now wants to talk about my experiences.
It is a USB 3.0 hub with 7 ports.
Using the supplied power adapter to the hub can also be actively powered, to avoid problems with "Unterstromung" at eg external USB hard drives.
As long as the devices connected to the electricity demand provided via the USB port can not exceed the stroke can also be operated without power supply as a normal passive USB hub.
The integrated power switch (blue triangle on the right) you can also switch between the Hub the active and passive mode.
This feature has me but somehow not directly accessible.
In manual deleyCON is unfortunately not an on the switch and the active / passive subject.
Here my request to adjust the manual and explain the functionality of the switch and the active / passive option.
The switch is also designed sleber questionable. He has no clear pressure point and you can not tell whether it is pressed or not. Here a normal rear switch would aim probably better met.
On the top of the stroke there are two "power" USB charging ports. Power because there loading in active mode (ie are each a maximum of 2.4A charge current available with power supply and depressed switch to eg power-hungry smartphones or tablets.
A great idea, which significantly expands the range of use of the stroke!
The use of the seven "normal USB ports is indicated at the top of the stroke, each with a blue LED.
The stroke itself is unfortunately once again out of this just so hip glossy plastic and had with me when delivered already the first small scratch and now also clear fingerprints. Here me a matte surface would have been significantly better.
The power supply is external, that it will make a small connector from the Hub to the actual power supply and from there an IEC connector for use outlet.
According deleyCON this construction is deliberately chosen in order to cover the high power requirement of the stroke at full utilization, including the two charging ports can also loose.
In operation, the hub behaves absolutely inconspicuous which is very good.
Does the PC up, he goes to. He goes down he goes out on its own.
The data transfer rates correspond to the normal rate my PC USB 3.0 ports, it's no performance difference observed. Outstanding!
What is important to me yet:
The seven ports are sufficiently far apart to Fats USB flash drives, card readers, etc. take. Since I have already made worse experience unfortunately with other manufacturers. Prima!
Besides, my Windows 7 has detected the stroke immediately perfect. This too is not a foregone conclusion, especially in USB 3.0 range.
All in all, I recommend this stroke almost 100%.
The little too big for my taste power supply, the fragile surface, the strangely shaped power switch and the unclear operation (active / passive) bring me but to deduct a star.
(I do not but realize that the perception is very subjective here).
Thus the 7 Port USB 3.0 Hub from deleyCON gets so still very good four star. You will enjoy it!
