I just finished this novel which I enjoyed the story. Fascinated by this river Adour I had heard vaguely that she had been diverted, I bought this book to learn more and I was not disappointed. On our next trip to the Basque Country we will go to the scene of the dike that changed in his time, the life of "low Landais." Now I understand that there are still some animosity between the two regions! ! even though time has done its work. Romance invented by the author around this event is conducted and brings us back to a distant time that allows us to imagine life in 1578. ... One small damage ... there are spelling and punctuation, but despite this defect I loved this book and recommend it. Thank you to the author for allowing me to better know local history.
