A Life (Paperback)

Customer Review

Jeanne spent her early years in the convent, she imagines to its release his new life, dream of a great love of this world which he was held remote or maybe which it has been preserved.
She found the house of his childhood, his parents and his hope to find the man of her life seems to happen with the meeting of Julian, a tender and attractive young man. He soon proposed marriage, too quickly perhaps because the dream soon gives way to reality, tenderness to indifference.
Disappointment in disappointment, Jeanne, whose naivety was much hope of life and of love, slowly loses his joie de vivre, hopes maiden.
His dreams become nostalgic ideas, this life to which she opened arms wide disappoints and hurts, unhappy she is gradually sinking into lethargy.

A beautiful novel and a beautiful pen!
I am attached to Jeanne, I saw her sink gradually ...
However, the character that touched me the most is that of Lise (Lison), Aunt Jeanne, lonely old girl, abandoned by all. Caring for those around him, rejoicing always for them, crying with them, she is always at their side and yet no one seems to see it, no one seems to be moved by her loneliness, her suffering. The indifference which all were showing towards her ached for her.
She lived the woes and joys of each other as if they were his own, to feel exist through them and experience what life has not given him.
This silent woman, erased, suffers but never complains, unloved unloved see around him yet dedicated it their unconditional love.
Sometimes when closing a book, a character is not cleared, you will remain in memory, it is the case of Lison.
