the USB hub looks very valuable by the aluminum casing. Sharp edges are not present. Looks a bit like an Apple product.
Thus 5/5 stars.

The Installation
The device has been tested with Windows 8.1, Windows 7 and Linux (Ubuntu 14.10). Under Windows 8.1, all drivers will be directly recognized and installed automatically. In Windows 7, the Ethernet hub is not installed directly, but the USB hub automatically binds a virtual CD drive from which you can install the drivers.
Under Ubuntu the USB hub and the Ethernet adapter without additional installations is ready for use immediately.
Thus 5/5 stars.

The LAN adapter
Ethernet Hub Internal card
Read 911Mbps 908Mbps
Be 731Mbps 790Mbps
The results are averaged over several tests. For the tests were over a gigabit switch each 15GB transferred.
One sees here that very good results were achieved and the deviations are minimal. Especially when writing, one can assume that here the bottleneck were the SSDs of the computer. However, 1GB can not be completely achieved while reading.
The transfer of 15GB lasted here reading about 79 seconds writing about 90 seconds.
The results are those of the internal card is equal, so 5/5 stars.

He gets here 5/5 stars.
