Beginner DSLR with fast AF

Looking for an inexpensive entry-level DSLR, I wavered between three models: Canon 450D, Sony A350 and Pentax K200D. After many test reports and a detailed consultation, I have decided on the Sony A300.

Reasons:
- Is great in the hand (no comparison to Canon - handle much too small)
- Has the fastest autofocus in Live View (Canon = catastrophe)
- Swiveling display (has no other DSLR)
- Image Stabilizer in the housing, characterized Cheap lenses

The difference with the A350 is the slightly lower resolution (10 MP instead of 14MP), but more frames per second, and of course the price. Instead of the kit lens I have decided on a Tamron 18-200. I am very happy with the combination. As disadvantages of relatively small viewfinder and the high noise value may be mentioned (from ISO400). The Canon makes in this respect a better figure.
