anmospährisch I personally the part before, "Jedi Knight 1" So, like better. all the choice of name is a bit confusing in the series. the first game of the series called "Dark Forces", then came "Jedi Knight" + expension pack and then Jedi Knight 2 Jedi Outcast. the latest game in the series is "Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy". this applies in part but not officially designated as "3".
I have not played darkforces, but all the other games of the series won dozens of times. Technically I find Jedi Outcast is the most and that is also the reason why I eg. the predecessor or Jedi Academy prefer. Unfortunately it has a bit of charm lost because the great real-film sequences has been replaced from the previous by pure gaming graphics. and the level and character design can not keep pace with its predecessor (which also only a few games in this genre create).
making it but as good is the dynamics of sword fights. The system is based on 3 conversations which the player can take the fight. each posture has advantages and disadvantages affect the in the duel with the opponent. can be found very quickly into play and can all the possibilities of the "power" to savor, the game still remains but complex enough to convince in any area.
about Jedi Academy can argue. I personally felt it was an infusion with a few ideas and unnecessary content. For example, more combos has been added to sword attacks. but these combos can not be interrupted, so that the player has freedom of movement is not as much as in Jedi Outcast. the player gets extremely much freedom to create his character, but somehow everything is not as round as in the predecessor.
even if wars with star begin not much know, this is still a very good game shooter.
if there is a game that it understands the drama of the duels and recreate the action movies, then this is it.
