The Black Keys that are Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach, who as neighborhood kids in a sandbox in Akron, Ohio, to know, to surprise the early 21st century with an exciting mix of blues, country, soul, boogie and rock 'n' Roll. Their influences suck Dan and Pat from the music of Devo, Frank Zappa, old Stax- and Motown recordings, classic rock stuff and of such blues greats as Robert Johnson, Son House, T-Model Ford and Junior Kimbrough. In the past, both their plates produced in their spatanischen basement studio and rumbled so through the country and earned an ever growing fan base. For her latest project, "Attack & Release", they sought for the first time a producer and found with Danger Mouse (Gnarls Barkley, Gorillaz) a competent partner who has also agreed to it in the basement studio in Akron to perform his duties. The result of the uneven cooperation is sensational - the sound of the Black Keys is again a lot warmer and lush, but still as he can be just only so dirty and soulful. From the first to the last song dripping the grease from the hair, rattling drums and grooves, the duo by the eleven great songs because I do not like highlight - they are all so damn good.
