At 6 Dire Straits albums, 4 Mark Knopfler-albums and several film scores of Knopfler a best-of compilation can always represent a compromise. Therefore, the nag compiling my opinion, is unnecessary. I would have perhaps desired also another song for the one or the other title. That some songs are "stalled", is nonsense. Only the title "Why Aye Man" is deprived of the fading circuit of about 1 minute. Otherwise, nothing will be reduced, not even the long songs like "Telegraph Road" or "Money for nothing". What some "experts" probably not have noticed: Some songs were slightly modified from the original recordings, such as "Sailing to Philadelphia" and "what it is". The song "Darling Pretty" has been sung by Knopfler and now sounds more mature. The fascinating thing about Konpfler: If you do not know the title, it is a difficult to moor a sequence of temporal origin. Knopfler is timeless good in my opinion!
