In this version, the game is patched Emperor and thus in a very good condition and fun.
Some things I would like to highlight:
Rome 2 is a complex strategy game with great possibilities, which makes mE in an interesting era. It's long-term motivating, because the peoples actually differ.
The graphics are pleasant and well creates a real atmosphere, but not outstanding.
The bugs previously shown are completely fixed here and it is now really mature.
With over Steam easily installable mods, there are ways for the game to adapt even better.
Some things are still negative:
The endgame is not fun. It is sometime by far the largest group in terms army, fleet and provinces and therefore unassailable. However, the victory conditions are too high, so you still have to conquer other provinces or larger armies must dig. Since there are no more challenges this is extremely boring.
The family tree is still useless. It could be a cool thing; with bribery, murder and marriage of families to secure his power and off rivals. But in the present situation would the developer should simply omit it completely.
In diplomacy one can not negotiate or replace these cities. Earlier in Medieval Total War this was possible and even with the new good feature of the provincial administration would be useful.
A trade with the precious resource food would actually be useful.
Otherwise it is an excellent strategy game, and in no way inferior to other titles of Total War series.
