Positive:
- Beautiful, varied and detailed graphics for a strategy game
- Great soundtrack
- Difficulty optimally rising
- Real-time island exploring much more pleasant than the circular mode in HoMM
- At least 40-50h season, probably even more.
- Auxiliary Dragon funny (and sometimes play crucial) feature
- Many unit types, which differ in some cases significantly
- Character good expandable
- Level Rises in about always the same time interval, therefore hardly motivation holes
- Island maps can be provided with markings
- A lot of different items, including sets that bring additional bonuses are many available
- Items can be upgraded or sometimes have a life of its own
Negatives:
- Unfortunately only one (sometimes randomly generated) campaign, therefore relatively low replayability
- A necessary island hopping to purchse / replenishing the troops annoying fast
- An overview of where each object or type of troops is to buy, missing unfortunately completely, so that it can be quite an odyssey often when one has it not quoted
- The three character classes Warrior, Paladin and Mage differ basically only be performed by an exclusive skill
- Due to the real-time share a multiplayer mode is hardly possible
- The story is average at best, and most of the side quests are very similar and are accompanied by a lot of unnecessary ramblings that you eventually just wegklickt because it anyway does not matter why you should do something real choices you have to rare
- Fights you can almost never go out of the way, because the opponents are usually (normal difficulty or higher) on an equal footing
- The forecast indicator of the potential enemy right in the rarest of cases, because there is a reasonably appropriate force together, things are like "kill" or "invincible" more likely to see relatively
- Dragon can not be used in boss battles, making them much more difficult
Overall a really recommendable game, which indeed has its quirks, but is not bad basically for single player as Heroes of Might and Magic V.
