The congenial heart of the three Jump n 'Run-strokes of genius from the house of Naughty Dog is the dynamic, formally enters the blood seamless management of Jak. Quick as a flash he is responsive to my input, jumps, rotates or makes a role. From such a control can be in today's titles only dream. It is precisely this perfect character control, it is also, let the genre colleagues like Ratchet and Clank next Jak look in my eyes old. Nicely, it is true that at least these two veterans have made the leap to the next generation of consoles, but the many sequels to the Lombax and his robotic resemble each other too much with time and finally even made some steps backwards, with regard to the change in gameplay ,
The debut of Jak and Daxter was a, in his time unusually action-fitting Jump n 'Run, with, collect for that time as unusually open game world that invites you to discover and fiddle. Will you all 101 energy cells that it is important to win here call his own, you would have to persistently search and sift through each level in detail. Part 2 a daring, unusual for Game Series departure from its predecessor, by trying to get the highest levels of different game elements under one roof. Jak time as Tony Hawk skating on a balance board and makes up tricks, sometimes he takes part in a glider races, sometimes it is necessary to solve puzzles, time to control a plane or a mini-game to crack. But the main elements remain alongside classic Jump n 'Run, now shoot the new game focuses and an ajar to GTA bustling city life of one discover and drive must - in some cases in-pounding chases. The expressed criticism from many quarters that the difficulty is too high is entirely justified. Sometimes one needs to have damn good nerves in order to feel 50 times moded a mission. But bringing real ambition with, so the achievement is all the more satisfying. In the third installment of the series has apparently tried to combine the best element of the two predecessors. The time-consuming city tours were significantly scaled back in favor of the action. The difficulty level has been slightly less valued hard. To the virtual city is now joining a vast desert, the to be explored. Here, too, a change in the game in the first place.
Although Part 2 & 3 of the series is aimed at a more adult audience rather than is the case with part 1, so every game is a real gem in itself. None of the current game I have found such a high degree of variety, as is the case with Jak & Daxter. Therefore, I miss games like this today painfully. It's too bad about my money if I pay 65 euros, only to spend hours nothing else to do than to shoot with different weapons or in a racing game (without action) 100 routes befahre in a first person shooter. Of course, a car drives better in eg Need for Speed, as is the case in the Jak series and some third-person shooter, it can easily accommodate the J & D trilogy. Still, I know of no other game that combines so many elements in play and thereby also still so much fun. The game I have only rated therefore with 4 stars because no multiplayer is included. One, for me portable flaw. The Uncharted series Naughty Dog have shown that they continue to develop the best titles for Sony consoles. Nevertheless, this magnificent treasure hunting adventures of high variety and the dynamic control of the Jak series I lack. The HD-implementation has succeeded which is why I love this classic HD Collection, as well as the PoP trilogy have bought and yet I think Sony's business policy, with regard to the backward compatibility of games on the PS3 for extremely dubious and unsympathetic. Much worse, however, I find that the games today seem almost never reach the high quality, the games like the Jak trilogy have commanded at that time. Approximately 4 months after the release of the PS3 I have gained this console, and at first, many of the advertised as awesome titles bought. The graph has initially me and my (neidigen) impressed friends. But what finally remained is a console that has a lot to offer to a few titles to date, as the this expensive purchase would have been worthwhile, even if it is cheaper by more than 300 euros today. Gerademal the Uncharted series and "Red Dead Redemption" have really made an impression on me. I'm not a graphics fanatic for as long as the game behind it can not inspire me. If a game looks good I think that's wonderful. But it should entertain in the first place and offer a lot of variety. Therefore, I hereby speak from a strong buy recommendation to all those who are new to these games and more expected as a graphic blindness. You will be surprised at what it can bring an old part of fun.
