Admittedly, I have long struggled with whether I should read the fifth volume in the series after the disappointment of Volume 4 - or whether I should not indulge in the beautiful illusion me simply that the story about Alec and Seregil ends with tape 3.
Meanwhile, I am happy that I have struggled through me because Flewelling doing here quite well again.
The beginning of the book still moves a little, but from the half it is gaining momentum and she approaches again their old height.
All in all, I have a feeling that they had to realize that the idea to the Rekharos somehow not quite as worked, as she had hoped. With Volume 5 of this storyline seems to be then closed. Band 6 (the so fantanstisch as band 1-3) could be told almost identical even without the interlude from band 4 and 5. In fact, you get the feeling that in band 6 extra a few (few) references are interspersed so that the action to Sebrahn is involved at least somewhat. However, it has no meaning.
In short: Band 4 and 5 taken together give obviously a kind of "interlude" that could be let out on reading the series certainly to have no major problems of understanding.
In Volume 5 the reader would but then missed reading pleasure because Flewelling will slowly return to its old size back that it has reached completely again in Volume 6.
