On the carafe from Menu I became aware at a Denmark holiday.
Your Scandinavian design (clear functional form design) immediately caught my eye. But why not buy a decanter?
The answer is because it differs in functionality from all others known to me decanters.
The wine bottle is firmly "aufgestöpselt" and then turned to the decanter upside. So the wine passes from the bottle into the decanter and although (and this is something special) and slow at the glass edge, that the wine is perfectly ventilated. Then you can serve wine by the carafe or back fill for adequate ventilation time in the decanter simply turn back in the bottle, which in turn quite cautiously proceeds. The wine is "poured" neither on the way into the carafe still back in the bottle, it "trickles" rather slowly in the respective vessel.
The associated "show effect" may be an additional selling point for one or the other.
Crucially, however, is the wine well ventilated and relatively quickly, so that even "serious", "easy" patronize reds amazing.
For every wine fan definitely worth a try.
