Until '77 Album Galaxy the Californian musician collective produced by Lonnie Jordan u. Lee Oskar excellent albums and were damlas wg. their mix of styles also repeatedly for pop hits well (Low Rider u. Why Cant We Be Friends knows still any).
This 1978 published Blaxploitation soundtrack is the last record which was recorded with the existing since Burdon times line-up and also marks a musical transition. One can find the typical for War long jam-like pieces, but also already highly trendy flavored as a single decoupled and rhythmically extremely ajar to KC & The Sunshine Shake Your Booty Bands Sing A Happy Song.
Of course, a soundtrack also offers plenty of short pieces u. Instrumentals that hire but unfortunately rather only as ideas and work are not well composed, but wg. the long title track u. the funky groove-song This Funky Music Makes You Feel Good is worth the purchase of this disc yet.
Nevertheless, it must be noted that the band here already properly crumbled not only personnel, but also high-musical. With the subsequent Music band album series they lost then finally the thread and even if you with Oulaw (1982) u. Life (Is So Strange) (1983) two pretty neat were delivering albums, their great time with Youngblood was finally over ,
Anyone who wants to accurately listen into creating this unique but Groove Band, which had (which includes the two essential tracks of this album contains) 1994 u. On vinyl The Best Of War And More recommended on the CD compy WAR Anthology. The latter does have tracks to offer far less, but the most important numbers u. Hits are there nonetheless it. But it is definitely worth this band, which today is to be forgotten, to discover, unfortunately at great risk, because as I said, as was then sounded no other band.
