Bonding of Cordura

I want to sew myself a backpack. To fix the parts in advance and connect a little more with each other, I have seen how you can best accomplish. To "Welding" are not all suitable materials, that's why I kept after glue out.

I've tried some glue, with some very modest results. This fabric glue, however, has convinced me. It is transparent, easy to apply and there are different ways of bonding. I prefer the following, which worked best for me:

First clean the parts to be connected and place on a flat surface. A page with adhesive coat (a little thicker in Cordura, because of the structure. In ripstop nylon you need less.) Wait 7 minutes, then squeeze and iron with a material suitable for temperature over it. (In Cordura I took the attitude "silk" that has worked best. "Cotton" was a bit too hot for the plastic coating.) Leave just yet, until the seam is completely cold and Voila. it has a seam, which can withstand a lot. There should be a backpack, I have however also pulled a seam with the machine.

Conclusion We'll be back and I think I'll stick with it and make the project with this adhesive finish.
