Even the title song is one of the best of its genre, bombastic rock pure, costly orchestrated, equipped with massive drums and a space-filling, pervasive Tyler voice whose power and force never greater before. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is the next milestone of the album, the power rock ballad ever, bombastic and dramatic, soulful and energieversprühend zugleich- numerous elements united in one song of Tyler classic. With "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" is located on the plate probably the best interpretation of the CCR classic, rock-rough with a furious guitar solo, and an outcry end Tyler Simme the fervently gives everything.
But the lesser-known titles do not have to hide. The rousing "Take Me Back" is just as energetic as the rocking "Goin through the motions" with a children's choir as an intro. "Tears" in a duet with Frankie Miller is the only sparingly arranged song, when Bonnie briefly turns away from the dramatic and bombastic atmosphere of the album and touching romantic emotions. The conclusion is the Bryan Adams classic "Straight from the Heart" another power ballad, which again combines numerous elements in themselves.
