1. Sound
This of course is always a very subjective topic. In my opinion, much too much bass, I'm one of those who prefer a more clear sound, something like Coldplay you can forget it. Overall, the listener make a very good impression and I like them quite well so far. Unfortunately I get after a few songs quickly headaches in bass hammers, which I also have the MDR-10RC count. Special sound elements unfortunately I could not make out with listeners also. What are the volume concerns definitely recommended the listeners as mobile devices.
2. comfort
Classified by me as a relatively pleasant, composed of a soft material (leatherette think). The listeners are generally quite small, so the ear cups. Nevertheless, they fit just fine on my (smallish geratenen) head, my ears ache nevertheless after some time (30 min.). The pressure is quite good, not too strong and fortunately not so loose that the handset slides when moving.
3. Processing
The first impression was mediocre. I appreciate the process as relatively robust, but am not sure how durable the listener actually are. In any case, you did not designate any rattling device in your hand, that's for good.
4. Optics
One word: inconspicuous. I like very much, I'm not a fan of swanky headphones. Since Sony has in my opinion done everything right!
Conclusion:
Overall, I like the Sony MDR-10RC actually very good. They are simple and unobtrusive designed for mobile use and relatively comfortable to wear. The sound is to me as I have said too much bass, but not directly bad. All in all a streaky first impression and unfortunately probably not the headset that's just to convince me. I would like to headphones can carry one or more hours at a time, which can use the Sony MDR-10RC unfortunately not afford ..
Another tip:
Date 12 December 2013: the headphones are being steadily cheaper.
