1. comfort:
The headphones weigh significantly less than my Sony headphones and who've been relatively easy. This affects the sense that the headphones are very comfortable to wear, even for long periods. The headphones are foldable, making them flat, and can be accommodated in (included in delivery) Bose-cloth case. Certainly very convenient for travel, I am thinking in particular to the hand luggage on the plane or if you have time not so much storage space. The strap is padded on the inside and also the ears have a soft contact surface that adapts to the ears and this situation allegedly noted. Anyway, it puts the headphones on and it tweaks and pinches nothing, there are no unpleasant pressure points and after a while you forget that you aufhat headphones. The headphones also have no Y-cable but a one-sided cable. This freedom of movement, which is especially an advantage on the road increases.
2. Sound:
I use headphones mainly at home on the computer and doing a lot with video editing. Thus it is useless to me when headphones hinzuadden a mega-bass, because I have heard so, how the video really sounds. But when listening to music, it is rather when the headphones play my natural sound. That was one of the main criteria for purchasing. Tip: Bose has its own stations, where you can try the headset with most media markets. Have I made, and could thus advance notice that they are comfortable and sound the way I imagine it.
3. Cables & Inline Remote:
The version AE2i owns the cable a mini remote control that works just like the remote of the iPhone headsets. So +/- and in the middle of start / stop as well as a microphone. Works only with certain Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, iMac, Macbook, etc. So if you want Skype on your PC, you need an adapter that converts the jack into 2 separate connections headphone / microphone. Gibts at Amazon for about 5-10 euros. The cable itself is rather oversized for portable devices - ie only about 1.5m long, which the home use on the PC can cause problems if the PC is a little further away. Then you definitely need a cable extension.
4. Packing:
The box is very noble, but underneath lies dormant most stubborn Weld packaging that I have ever seen. I have tried, without much violence or damage to open the package and took me to a commercial trimmer for about 20 minutes. Behind apparently is the idea that one can return only headphones in perfect condition and a tattered package is then rejected. Clear downside, Bose should because what better come!
5. Price:
Bose is a registered trademark in the high price segment and thus, there are certainly many other good headphones (Denon, AKG) which are cheaper but are comparable with Bose. With Bose must be a clear that mitzahlt for the brand name and it (Amazon itself) is not a bargain. I admit honestly that I was too lazy to graze the entire headphone segment for the perfect headphones for perfect price and also why Bose bought. Besides, it was my desire to finally buy something from Bose. In retrospect, are 140 euros a very steep price, but for practical and high quality branded headphones you can boast of that time to pay if they should still look as beautiful even a few years.
Conclusion:
In my eyes, the Bose AE2i is a great all-rounder for home and travel. Who wants to spend so much money, here gets a good product. Who the price is too expensive, you should rather draw favorable headphones into consideration and research longer time at AKG & Co.
About a "helpful" I would be very, incidentally! Thank-you :)
