Bow-wow's nightmare

Because me, our Vorwerk Kobold more annoyed than thrilled we have the Dyson DC23 Animalpro purchased. The design is really unique, it looks like from the next millennium! The suction power on carpets is quite comparable due to brush rolls with the Vorwerk. On hard floors known each sucker sucks quite passable, here the suction nozzle and the performance is more crucial. Regarding the suction power, Dyson is only good average, but it will remain constant. Conventional vacuum cleaners bring only fresh bag maximum performance. That was one of the reasons why I have the Vorwerk replaced by the Dyson.

The vacuuming hard floors comes with the package included Parquet pleasant rapid installation and more effective for this purpose, the brush roller is even reversible, but the real fun does not make it so.

Another advantage over the Vorwerk: The Dyson is very flexible to use, has lots of additional standard nozzles supplied and therefore provides a fantastic versatility. With the mini-brush roller, it is my first time succeeded in almost completely purify the Softreisebettchen my dog ​​old dog hair.

The transparent dust container is really fascinating, unbelievable what one finds in the tank after a very short time! We have particularly many dog ​​hair mixed with the usual house dust and the obligatory Lego small parts out of the rooms of our kids.

Emptying works quite well, but is quite connected with some dirt and dust. To Drain the tank out directly through the garbage, because it is not a problem.

Why only 3 stars? The sucker quite convinced, but there are also some criticisms:

The vacuum cleaner is really noisy! That bothers me actually less, but my dog ​​"thinks" differently about it! The poor guy is shaking his whole body, providing a very pitiable impression. If you come with the Dyson near him, he reacts with flee in panic! I hope he gets used to it. He had accepted after a short growl and him from now on only ignores the Vorwerk.

Another disadvantage is that the Dyson despite its rounded design everywhere (even on rounded corners) hangs. He also falls in arrear pulling and maneuvering around very often, the elk test is the sucker so definitely not.

The suction hose verknickt very easily because it does not have the vacuum cleaner itself via a rotary joint.

The power cord could be 1-2 meters longer, then you come out with less repositioning.

Conclusion: The bagless Dyson principle has been exemplary and is here probably rightly leader. The suction power is really satisfactory. Also smells we have not yet need to realize, despite many dog ​​hairs in the apartment. On the part of the chassis and the suction hose is still much need for improvement ...

Update after 3 years of use: By now already 2 x the roller brush and 1 x were replaced the intake manifold to guarantee basis.
