Miossec has an extraordinary ability to reinvent itself. It would almost be scary if it was not as bright. After a (very good) edgy electric album where his voice was drowned in the guitars, he returns with a more sedate album, organic, based on a handful of instruments (acoustic guitar, piano, strings, accordion), where the singer highlights his voice. His new voice. A calm voice, clearer, less rocky, which lets show through the wounds of the past, still present, but healed. And that is also why it is discussed in the songs. For the author, who began with a duo-Drink Kiss, as a rule of life bukowskienne, is now a wiser man. But losing cynicism and brutality, for Miossec, it does not mean losing truth. Truths, there are all over the album: life passes, death or fighting. The Brest remains a great poet, who says in simple words the things (sometimes) deep. Detached rock and pop, he signed a large (very large) French song album, true sequel to the superb 1964 in sleeker, better written or Burns. From the beginning of the album, he announced that everything is just beginning. Well, so much better, and we will be there at the next moult.
