The White Lioness (Paperback)

Customer Review

I read the "Wallander" in light of the excellent biography by Mankell Mankell: it becomes even more exciting if indeed it may be the case. The novel is as lit from within, fluid and the political dimension with the omnipresence of N.Mandela gives extraordinary power to what begins as a simple murder villainous.
Wallander takes cruelly aware of its geopolitical ignorance, his lack of interest in history in the making and we all take through him-a concentrated course in turbulent reality of South African politics: the Boers, the ANC The Inkatha ... the origin and the cruelty of the massacres of Apartheid.
Police investigation and African history is closely intertwined to create a grand novel.
